Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) is seeking a Director for Grants Accounting and Finance who will be responsible for financial oversight of all federal award lifecycles beginning with the pre-award cost proposal preparation, through the administration of the award while the award is active, to post-award financial reporting and close-out. The Director is responsible for financial integrity and financial compliance with Federal and award-specific guidelines, including all reporting and other required processes. This position works collaboratively with the VP of Programs and Program Directors to proactively manage the finances of the awards and sub awards, develop forecasts, identify and resolve potential financial related issues. With the goal of optimizing LIRS’s opportunity to provide value to migrants, and develop and maintain a strong network of local service providers, this position contributes to the risk assessment of sub-recipients, works to strengthen their financial acumen and results, and monitors their compliance to award guidelines.
