Position Overview-Director of Young Adult Worship and Discipleship Ministry (Part-time)
Trinity Ohio City Church (TOC)
Cleveland, Ohio (Ohio City neighborhood)

Context and Summary of Position:
Trinity is a 166-year-old church with a deep history of serving Cleveland’s Westside. Our campus is located in the heart of Ohio City. Under new leadership, we have a huge vision to reach the rapidly changing Ohio City neighborhood. Therefore, TOC seeks a young adult worship leader who has a passion to reach young individuals and families moving into Ohio City, Tremont and surrounding neighborhoods. With a call from God to lead worship, this individual will create and lead a new worship service, as well as a discipleship-based small group ministry, both with the purpose of reaching, building into and equipping the Millennial and Gen Z generations to be committed followers of Christ, giving them a vision to reach and disciple those in their sphere of influence. This person will work directly with the Lead Pastor who is passionate about God’s unchanging Word being taught in the language and culture of young adults and young families.

Managing Expectations:
This person will have the spirit of an entrepreneur in order to develop a foundational platform from which to launch a Holy-Spirit-filled, transformational ministry for 20- and 30-somethings in Greater Cleveland. In this early stage of development, this person will build a worship team and discipleship process from the ground up, with the desired outcome being the creation of a growing and sustainable ministry to the lost souls of Cleveland.

Qualifications:
• Has a personal faith story of God’s grace as a follower of Jesus Christ.
• Has a personal commitment to Gospel transformation in all areas of life.
• Affirms 2 Timothy 3:16, that all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for life transformation
• Affirms the basic tenants of the Christian doctrine, as written in the historic confessions of the church, mainly the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed.
• Passionate about the mission, vision and values of Trinity Ohio City Church.

Compensation:
Due to the the nature of this aging and historic urban church, much of our current resources are budgeted to maintain our present ministries and facilities; however our vision is that this position be full-time. Until the necessary resources are available, this is a part-time position at 10 hours/week, $30/hour (flexible hours).

(optional addendum) Create a financial support team to increase hours and compensation.

How to apply: Please send a resume and cover letter to Christine McConnell, Director of Logistics and Communication (christine@trinitycleveland.com).
