Position Overview-The Regional Ministry Leader's primary responsibility is to build relationships with committed, equipped, and empowered congregations and individuals of all Christian denominations within our local communities to meet the spiritual needs of the people we support and create awareness about how churches and individuals can support the mission of Bethesda. Responsible for the southern region of US covering KS/MO/Southern IL/ OK/TX/AR/LA/MS/AL.Must reside in one of these states.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is required. 
A background in Christian ministry, social work, special education or experience with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, or clinical pastoral education are preferred but not required. Must be a member in good standing of a Christian congregation. 

Certificate, License or Registrations:
Possession of a valid driver's license and a good driving record as defined by Bethesda.

Physical Demands:
Up to 50% overnight travel within a designated geographical area (KS/MO/Southern IL/ OK/TX/AR/LA/MS/AL) is required. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. 
Frequent lifting, bending and carrying.

Essential Job Function:

Establishes strong working relationships with Christian congregations and individuals that are able to provide faith supports and resources to the people we support.
Effectively communicates with the partner churches and individuals, at minimum monthly, to provide regional updates, and leveraging multiple methods to create the most impact.
Develops a ministry plan, monitors the plan, and holds partner churches accountable for their commitment to support Bethesda’s mission, especially with regard to the spiritual care of the people we support.
Effectively collaborates with all internal stakeholders, especially the people we support, operations staff, marketing/communications, and philanthropy. It is expected for Ministry Leaders to develop healthy working relationships with the major gift officers in philanthropy in order to connect people who may want to express their commitment to
Bethesda’s mission beyond in-kind donations and volunteering.
Effectively communicates resources and training for IDD Services that can be used in-home to assist the people we support on their faith journey.
As needed, provides virtual/on-call faith leadership to the people we support and our employees through challenging times (i.e. trauma response) and builds a network of qualified responders to assist in their assigned region.
