Position Overview-This position is responsible for maintaining accountability and accuracy of customer accounts. In addition, this position will process activity related to Accounts Receivable including check and credit card payments, and processing adjustments to customer accounts, Canadian exchange and miscellaneous credits.

Additional duties include generating accurate and timely disbursement transactions through matching and editing of purchase orders, invoices, and receivables as well as following corporate policy and internals controls for processing disbursements and maintaining the accounts payable filing system.

The essential functions of this position are as follows:
• Process customer payments from Lockbox and payments received in-house.
• Process Canadian checks and reconcile exchange discrepancies.
• Reconcile account activity for various accounts receivable customers.
• Reconcile daily credit card payments and refunds, ensuring the secure storage of all sensitive data.
• Answer inbound 800 phone line and assist customers.
• Enter and edit invoices for check generation.
• Set-up computer check runs.
• Maintain accounts payable files.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Detail oriented
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Ability to analyze complex problems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Associate degree in business or related field
• Experience in an accounting environment and a working knowledge of a PC-based spreadsheet is desirable.
• One or more years in both accounts receivable and payable experience.
