Position Overview-POSITION SUMMARY
A highly productive professional works directly with clients to create compelling, customer-focused promotional and marketing content for digital and print platforms, content that weaves an understanding of the needs of the church with consumer demands and meets LCMS doctrinal standards and exceeds client expectations.

• Creates compelling content in multiple mediums and forms, with clear and accurate messaging for digital and print platforms, maximizing effectiveness and complementing user experience to achieve desired results.
• Improves existing content, updating for new channels, usability, performance, and search engine optimization.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners efficiently and effectively to exceed client expectations by ensuring intentional consistency in terminology, voice, style, and messaging throughout all content.
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines and meets or exceeds all internal productivity, editing, and scheduling timelines.
• Assists in developing and maintaining consistent content for the CPH brand and its individual brands within.

• Keeps current with best practices in content creation, search engine optimization copywriting, and user experience.
• Maintains current market and trend knowledge (specifically related to Lutheran publishing and readers and digital copywriting); conducts regular research through reviews of industry magazines, journals, blogs, website, and social media.
• Collaborates with marketing leaders on the strategic direction and creative development of CPH promotion and brand campaigns.

• Significant knowledge of Christian products and the LCMS church is required.
• Excellent command of English language and writing techniques to appeal to targeted audiences.
• Organizational skills to plan work schedule and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to graciously accept and provide constructive feedback.
• Adept in daily use of office computing software—Adobe Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to learn and work in new and emerging environments—including Magento, Hubspot, knk Publishing—and new content specialties, including video, audio, and social media platforms.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications or related field.

• 1 year experience
