Position Overview-The Director of Discipleship is a full-time exempt position that will champion leaders in the development of ministry experiences that help all members connect to life in Jesus through our behaviors of connecting to God, the spiritual family, and the community. The Director of Discipleship will work collaboratively within the ministry team across areas of discipleship, worship, service, and missions. This position will have the support of a full-time Student and Family Ministry Director (vacant - to be filled following staffing of Director of Discipleship).

General Qualifications
•Personal and enthusiastic relationship with Jesus Christ.
•Be committed to the team ministry of Brookfield Lutheran Church, understanding the importance of unity within the staff and the congregation.
•A champion of the mission, vision, values, and behaviors of Brookfield Lutheran Church.
•Initiative-taker with solid organization skills and attention to detail.
•Education and/or experience with Kids, Students, and/or Family Ministry.
•Constant learner with a willingness to grow and develop skills for continued ministry.
•Flexible and willing to adapt approaches to best serve the context of the mission and ministry of Brookfield Lutheran Church and our community.
•Responsive to congregational members.
•Active listener with strong written and verbal skills, including public speaking.
•Willingness to travel and take part in off-campus activities (i.e., retreats, National Youth Gathering, mission trips).
•Collaborative, sincere, and authentic.
•Computer ability in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, etc.
•Proficient and active on social media platforms for the purpose of connecting to kids, students, and families.
