Position Overview-Teachers will prayerfully help students gain the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes that will prepare them for life as a Christian in society today and with Christ eternally. A teacher will help prepare children ages 4-5 for kindergarten by easing them into organized education. The preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION IS TO:
1. Teach the Word of God and particularly the Gospel message of Jesus Christ as our crucified and risen Savior.
2. Assist the principal in establishing a Christian learning environment in the school.
3. Serve as a role model to fellow teachers, prospective teachers and the learning community.
4. Work with the children and their families to assist them in becoming responsible members of the body of Christ.
5. Teach the required curriculum for the assigned grade level(s).
6. Value and respect the individual worth, dignity, and God-given talents and abilities of each individual student.
7. Support and carry out the mission of the school.
8. The goal is to contribute to the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and academic development of the child so they can thrive in their next level of education.
