About YLM

Ysleta Lutheran Mission Human Care (YLM) is a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit and a Recognized Service Organization (RSO) of the LCMS. Founded in 1982 and incorporated in 2005, YLM serves thousands of people each year along the U.S.–Mexico border, sharing Christ's love through Mercy, Music, and Missions.

ABOUT THE SERVANT EVENT PROGRAM

The Servant Event Ministry at YLM opens doors to a transformational, Christ-centered mission experience in an international border setting. Churches, youth groups, families, schools, and organizations are invited to travel to El Paso, stay in YLM's on-campus dormitory facilities, and serve alongside YLM staff and partner churches — crossing the border each day to reach Cd. Juárez mission sites, or serving in the El Paso colonias of Sparks, Agua Dulce, and Horizon City.

Every team is treated as a partner in mission. YLM's Servant Event Facilitators work closely with each group to design a service experience that matches the team's abilities, skills, and calling with the real and present needs of YLM's communities. The goal is simple: love and serve God and love and serve others.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Servant Event Facilitator leads visiting Servant Event mission teams — The Servant Event Program is a Lutheran Christ-centered mission experience for churches, schools, families, and volunteers along the U.S.–Mexico border. Responsibilities are approximately 60% operations/logistics and 40% ministry, relationship building, and program development. The Facilitator serves as YLM's ambassador for the program, growing participation and advancing mission impact.
