Job Summary:

Provide assistance in processing, depositing, and reporting donor gifts. The Gift Processing Specialist will perform his/her duties consistent with the LHM and Ministry Services plans, strategic plans, policies, and other guidelines, and with applicable law.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Sort and open all US mail on a daily basis.
  2. Open, process, and batch donor gifts.
  3. Deposit batched checks via current remote deposit system.
  4. Accurately enter credit card donations into LHM Gift from donor calls and donor mail.
  5. Reconcile and prepare statement reports for all previous day transactions and submit for reference to appropriate Finance personnel.
  6. Prepare, submit, and transfer all automatic, recurring electronic donations.
  7. Answer telephone calls, helping donors when necessary and to the best of ability, taking accurate messages.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to all “customers” and co-workers.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Count Business Reply envelopes for return to the post office for refund.

• Provide other clerical support to the department.

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• High School graduate required.

• Previous cash handling and/or banking experience.

• Knowledge of 10 key calculator and good math aptitude required.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Accuracy and attention to detail.

• Must be dependable.

Location: Our office is located in St. Louis, MO but LHM offers flexible work arrangements, including remote work.
