Position Overview -

The Assistant Director plays a key role in launching and operating our new faith-based childcare center. This position supports the Director in aspects of planning, implementation, and daily operations, including staff supervision, regulatory compliance, classroom support, and family engagement. The Assistant Director helps create a nurturing environment grounded in Christian values and provides both administrative leadership and hands-on classroom support as the program grows. This is a dynamic role that will shift over time, beginning with a heavier focus on startup planning and classroom involvement, and transitioning into more administrative and program development work as the center grows.

Job Qualifications:

  • - A commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of the center
  • - Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
  • - 2+ years of experience one early childhood settings, preferably with some leadership or administrative experience
  • - Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • - Ability to lead with compassion, patience, and professionalism
  • - A commitment to the Christian faith and the ability to integrate faith into teaching and leadership
  • - Knowledge of state licensing regulations and early learning best practices
  • - Ability to balance administrative duties with classroom support
  • - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • - Must pass background checks and health screen requirements
