Summary:

To serve the Church in a generalist position devoted to all aspects of computer set-up, troubleshooting, upgrades, analyzing data, computer support, and system maintenance in this ministry.



Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly audits of CIS Security Controls (version 7.1)
- Oversee the website infrastructure, ensuring proper integration with other systems, maintaining security, and applying updates
- Serve as system administrator for M365 and AzureAD
- Act as system administrator for the Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform
- Manage the Ultatel VOIP phone system as system administrator
- Analyze and address vulnerabilities identified through scans conducted by Nessus and Tenable Vulnerability Management
- Monitor and maintain the LAN Unifi network at the home office in Concordia
- Assist the Human Resources Manager in defining IT policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring new users receive proper access and equipment
- Enhance Office 365 functionality while developing automated business processes using Power Automate and Power Apps
- Oversee the integration, updates, and upgrades of IT systems
- Provide computer support for missionaries and office staff
- Improve user knowledge through both internal and external initiatives
- Recommend improvements and growth opportunities for end users
- Stay current with the latest technologies to enhance existing systems
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including tracking purchased computers, their replacement schedules, and backup records
- Manage financial aspects of information systems, including purchasing and budgeting
- Collaborate with the IT Team to develop organizational reports, data management systems, perform data analysis, and ensure compliance with CIS Controls reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Preferred candidate will have a Lutheran background and strong knowledge of the faith
- Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work with non-technical end users to understand their needs, provide solutions, and effectively explain them
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to independently research and troubleshoot issues
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and keep end users updated on progress
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Two or more years of desktop support experience required
- Prefer one to two years of system integration experience
Physical requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer or performing other tasks
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds
- Ability to travel domestically as required
