| Position Overview - | The assistant teacher at Joyful Beginnings plays a vital role in creating loving, engaging, and Christ-centered classrooms for young children. Working closely with the head teacher, this position supports daily routines, play-based learning, and faith-filled relationships that nurture children’s growth in body, mind, and spirit. Whether caring for infants, guiding toddlers, or supporting preschoolers and pre-K learners, the assistant teacher helps create a safe and joyful environment where every child is known, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them through wonder and faith. Qualifications: Alignment with the mission and values of a Christian-based early childhood development center. High school diploma or GED required; CDA or Early Childhood coursework preferred. Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or early learning setting is preferred. CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Warm, reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to the needs of children and the classroom. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented spirit. |
