| Position Overview - | St. John’s School, an ELC–8th grade school in Denver, Colorado, has served the community for over 140 years as an extension of St. John’s Church. We invite applications for a full-time Middle School Social Studies Teacher (history and civics) starting August 1, 2026. Overlooking Washington Park in vibrant Denver with access to cultural and outdoor pursuits, we foster faith growth, academic excellence, and community through high quality instruction, a positive classroom culture (Love and Logic), and strong collaboration. Candidates must: Actively participate in a Christian church (St. John’s preferred) Uphold our Statement of Faith and Marriage Values Hold a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field Hold Colorado certification (or obtain within two years) Pass background checks and adhere to our Code of Conduct Be U.S. work-authorized (no visa sponsorship) Experience in Christian/Lutheran education and the ability to teach a second subject/elective are a plus. Compensation: up to $50,000 based on experience, plus health/retirement benefits, tuition credit up to $22,000 annually for St. John’s Church members’ children, and summer/school breaks.
