Job Summary:

Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM), a trusted global leader in Christ-centered media outreach, seeks a mission-driven, strategic, and visionary President of North America Ministries to provide executive leadership over ministries in the United States, Jamaica, and liaison with Lutheran Laymen’s League of Canada to expand outreach and equip Christians in sharing their faith.

Reporting to the Global Chief Ministry Officer, the President of North America Ministries is responsible for developing and leading the vision of ministry in the region, fully aligned to the mission and ministry philosophies of LHM Global. The President oversees the regional strategic plan, focused on delivering a contextualized ministry model in each country or demographic group.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

1. Develop and oversee the North America regional strategy in alignment with the Global strategy of LHM. Provide strategic leadership, energy, and direction to develop a comprehensive multi-year strategic plan, annual operational plans, and budgeting.
2. Serve as direct supervisor and servant leader for staff of U.S. Ministries and Jamaica Ministry Center and any additional expansion areas.
3. Oversee the day-to-day management of the ministries in the region, including occasional domestic and international travel.
4. Manage relationships with LHM North American partner offices, including International Lutheran Laymen’s League of Canada.
5. Engage with LHM Global officers and regional presidents to align LHM’s evangelistic model and strategically advance ministries and partnerships in North America region.

Constituent Engagement & Networking

1. Participate in external constituent engagement activities, public speaking, and donor visits on behalf of North America Ministries, as requested.
2. Collaboratively develop marketing and communications plan for U.S. Ministries with global marketing and engagement department.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Spiritual & Personal Commitment

• A layperson who is an active member of an LCMS congregation.

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ who models LHM’s core values and confessional Lutheran identity.

• A deep passion for evangelism and the global mission of the Church to reach the lost with the Gospel.

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of senior-level leadership experience in progressively responsible positions.

• A dynamic, energetic and visible leader, with the ability to motivate, energize, inspire the respect of others, and create a culture of collaboration, teamwork and results.

• Proven leader in multicultural setting, including successful cross-cultural collaboration.
