| Position Overview - | The Early Childhood Head Teacher at Joyful Beginnings is a compassionate, skilled, and faith-rooted educator who provides loving care and intentional instruction to young children during their most formative years. Whether nurturing infants, guiding toddlers, or preparing preschoolers for their next big steps, the head teacher creates a joyful, Christ-centered classroom where every child feels safe, known, and deeply loved. This role blends caregiving, teaching, and spiritual formation – helping children grow in body, mind, and spirit. The head teacher partners with assistant teachers, families, and center leadership to ensure each child’s developmental needs are met with excellence, grace, and intentionality. Qualifications: Alignment with the mission and values of a Christian-based early childhood development center CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Prior experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting Deep understanding of early childhood development, safety, nurturing caregiving, and play-based learning practices Strong understanding of early childhood development, safety, and play-based learning practices. Warm, patient, and energetic demeanor with strong communication and leadership skills. CPR/First-Aid certified (or a willingness to obtain). Familiarity with classroom technology such as the Procare app. |
