The ECC Director is responsible for leadership, development, management, and administrative functions necessary to administrate the ECC and reports to the Board of Christian Education (“BOCE”). Duties include program coordination, strategic management of the ECC, teaching and supervising students and staff and marketing/growing the ECC. The ECC director provides, manages and maintains a Christian program which is compliant with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (“DCFS”) requirements. The ECC Director will oversee the completion and maintenance of accurate records for attendance and finance as well as communicate and coordinate with parents, children, ECC staff, church staff and the BOCE in a Christian manner.

Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Education and/or Early Childhood Education

Certification in the State of Illinois for Early Childhood Education

DCFS Certification (or with ability to obtain certification within an agreed-upon timeframe)

Certification to implement staff observations and assessments

Christian by affirmation of faith and example

Experience in teaching preschool

Experience in management and/or Directorship

Experience in curriculum development, planning and implementation
